Continues to Evolve
It has been 60 years since we began licensed production of medium-speed engines (PC) from S.E.M.T. (now MAN) in 1964. We have expanded our applications from marine to land use and have continued constant development in response to the demands of the times. Furthermore, we have added MAN's high-speed engines (28/33) to our lineup and continue to evolve as an engine manufacturer while responding to customer needs.
JFE-S.E.M.T. Pielstick
JFE-S.E.M.T. Pielstick diesel engines have a track record of more than 500 shipments as marine and land-power-generation engines since the technical tie-up with SEMT of France (now MAN Energy Solutions France SAS) in 1964. The high reliability and economic efficiency of our engines have earned us a high reputation among many customers in Japan and overseas. We continue to evolve further by incorporating electronically controlled fuel injection and sequential turbocharger systems into the technology established by our experiences.
JFE-MAN V28/33D STC
In 2017, JFE Engineering signed a license agreement with MAN Diesel & Turbo
(now MAN Energy Solutions) to manufacture and sell the V28/33D STC diesel engine. These engines are lightweight, compact, and high-power engines. Combined with its excellent anti-vibration and quiet performance, it has been adopted in many naval and patrol vessels around the world. In addition, the sequential turbocharger system is adopted, making it a very superior engine in terms of performance as well.
